ABNA24 - Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko has congratulated his Iranian counterpart Masoud Pezeshkian on the Persian New Year, known as Nowruz, emphasizing that Iran will courageously overcome the ongoing challenges.
In a message on Saturday, carried by the Iranian embassy in Belarus, Lukashenko also congratulated the Iranian people on Nowruz, which he described as a symbol of renewal and re-building.
“At the New Year, Iran continues to courageously struggle against external challenges. I am confident that the wise people of Iran, relying on their centuries‑old experience, will overcome all difficulties and uphold their right to continue the path of independence and sovereignty,” the Belarusian president said.
He also hailed relations between Iran and Belarus, saying that the bilateral ties are developing in an atmosphere of sincere friendship, trust, and mutual support.
Lukashenko said that Belarus attaches paramount importance to its reliable and constructive cooperation with Iran, which is based on common interests and the aspiration for stability and prosperity.
